Free Camping Partnership for Non-Profits
The Outdoor Recreation Department offers a 3-year partnership program to Alameda and Contra Costa County non-profits where our staff provide one free camping trip and three-day trips to your organization for three consecutive years. Not only do the kids or families receive a memorable experience in the great outdoors, but partner staff also receive valuable training and resources to eventually lead their own camping trips. Through the Community Outreach Outdoor Program (CO-OP), the Park District provides a bus, all camping gear, food, program leadership, and training. The non-profit partner provides promotion and registers campers, attends trainings, and then helps lead the trips. If your non-profit organization is interested, apply for this partnership.
